Revenant Browbirds
Revenants are dead people, usually powerful warriors or heroes, who have been resurrected by having the soul of a powerful mage sealed into the corpse. They now live again in an undying state, permanently frozen how they looked when resurrected, decay and all.
The only ones capable of creating a revenant would be an ancient who has complete mastery over the death aspect. Thus allowing them to manipulate and trap souls through magical means as the most advanced form of necromancy. This type of magic is heavily frowned upon and those who practice magic involving resurrecting the dead and trapping the souls of people are one of the primary targets hunted by the Palatine.
The revenant type is something hardly ever seen and to some it is only considered an old urban legend. Revenants themselves will often employ whatever means they can to conceal their undead nature form the general public as to not spark fear and ire from the common folk. The fear of revenants is not completely unfounded, though can be considered an outdated concept these days.
Long ago, during the Void Wars, the way to create a revenant browbird was discovered by a man by the name of Rovok, and used as a way to have a nearly invincible army that could destroy the living world. As revenants are not easily killed and have an endless lifespan, some revenants who took part in that war would still be alive today. While all were freed from the control of Rovok, they are still powerful individuals that can easily flatten an entire town.
Revenants cannot die, at all, and will always regenerate from any injury no matter how severe. However, this can take an exceedingly long time depending on the wound, so it's not advised to be completely reckless just because you won't die. Using your head as a basketball seems like a fun idea, but you'll be feeling stupid later.
Those resurrected as a revenant are often without any memory of who they previously were, leading some to go on a quest to find their memories. While others will simply seek out a way to truly end their existence without any regard for the past. There are also revenants who go on living their new life without a care, happy to be given a second chance.
While any species in the Celestial Seas can be raised as an undead being, Revenant is the specific name the browbird liches and powerful undead are called. This category would, in fact, include vampires.

Aspect Slots
Revenant browbirds can have up to four aspects. Every Revenant will have 4 slots by default, at least one slot must be filled for a browbird to be approved, however you can save a slot for later if you aren't sure what to go with.
Free Traits
Revenant browbirds can have certain traits added to them for free.
While normally rare or mythic, can be added to any revenant design at no extra cost as a bonus during the creation period. They will be labeled as "revenant" and cannot be swapped out for other ancient traits or mythic traits once on a design.

Revenant Exclusive Traits
There are some traits that are only available to revenants. These are unique to revenants, and mark them as a dead being full of powerful magic.
Revenant Horns
Revenants can sometimes grow unusual horns due to the death magic keeping them alive, often times resembling bones, spines, or ribcages. Alternatively, revenants can also gain floating horns, or horns with floating pieces after being resurrected. These are parts of their original horns that had fallen off or been broken after they died. They never fully piece back together, and permanently float in various places around their head.

Bone Tail
This revenant-specific tail can be any tail type. To be a bone tail, it must simply have exposed bone on it in some form! It can be partially made of bone, or the entire tail can be bone. Bone tails can optionally have various types of spines.
Revenant tails can also have floating parts, or have the entire bone tail in separate floating pieces.
When it comes to hiros-revenant hybrids, it's possible for hiros tail wings to be made of bone as well.

Exposed Bone
When revenants are brought back to life, they have to be mostly in tact. However, as they were previously corpses there are sometimes areas of rot or decay that remain. They are permanently in this state, and if wounded they will regenerate back to it every time, leaving them with permanently open wounds or exposed bone. This can affect anywhere on the body such as arms, legs, chest, neck, ect! Exposed bone area on the body should not cover more than 50% of the design.
Unmending
Some revenants have open wounds that always leak magic or blood and never heal. This can even include things like eyes that permanently cry tears of blood.
Patchwork
Missing an arm or leg? Revenants have the perk of being able to sew on a new one. It'll usually be an entirely different color or even size. It's usually a pretty messy job too, but the arms always seem to work just fine once attached. Must be that revenant magic!
True Lich
Exposed bone on the face, essentially a skull head. Can have hair but doesn't have to.
Bone Wings (Hiros+Revenant Hybrid)
A hiros ancient can have decaying or bone wings.
Burning Soul (Ancient+Revenant Hybrid)
Parts of the revenants exposed bone areas are affected by ancient aspect mastery in some way. Such as fire blazing from the chest, bones made of crystal, plants growing from an exposed ribcage, or a bone arm frozen in ice. The magic they had when living as an ancient was so powerful that it now burns within them as a revenant, a permanent mark of who they used to be.

Living Form
Whether through magical means, illusions, enchanted items, or some other method, there are revenants who disguise their undead selves as regular browbirds. These forms can often resemble how their bod looked when alive. Their living forms can sometimes have different traits and an entirely different palette.
When a design comes with an alive form, it can be their disguised for OR considered a "flashback" form to how they used to look. Both forms are valid for the group.
