1. Eyes
Browbirds have large, sensitive eyes that allow them to see and hunt in the dark. Their eyesight is far better than the average human's! They have very keen sight and can see clearly from quite far away, they are also quite good at detecting movement and focusing in on it.
All browbird eyes adjust to light, but some types of eyes have naturally larger or smaller pupils, usually those with larger pupils are more likely to prefer functioning during the night! Browbirds are awake and asleep at different times dependent on where they're from and how they were raised.
All browbird eyes have long eyelashes to protect the eye from dirt and dust, and usually they will have a dark tear line and tear ducts. Eyelashes can be any color, and they can be much thicker and thinner than shown!
All rare and mythic eye traits must clearly be shown. If they are covered by hair or clothing, you must provide a separate eye reference to count.

Common Eye Varieties
Nearly all variaties of eyes fall into the common category, so your options are definitely not limited to these, and you are able to combine different types. (such as a clouded + doe eyes, and so on)
Commonly, browbirds will have a colored sclera and a colored iris matching or close in color to each other. But this is actually not always the case! Eyes can be just about any color you want with the colors placed wherever you want on the eyes. Both eyes should always match if they are common, and should always have a rounded, oval, or slit pupil! Otherwise you are free to play around with the types and colors!
Clouded eyes are not as common as some other eyes you may see, but they are still included here for all to use! Clouded means the browbird will have trouble seeing or be completely blind, they can have this in one eye or both and is often something they are born with or the result of accidents and injury. It can't be healed easily, even through magical means if it has been this way for a long time!
You do not need to include common eye types on your masterlist submission.

Rare Eye Varieties
True Heterochromia and missmatched eyes are both rare types. While heterochromia is only having two of the same eyes, just different hues, missmatched eyes can be completely wild! These two traits can be stacked together as one missmatched eye trait.
There are sometimes stories told about those born with the rare heterochromia or missmatched eyes. Those who believe in more spiritual meanings behind rarer traits like this will say that one who has such eyes is the result of the souls of lovers or close friends who died together becoming one, and when that soul is reborn anew the child will have two different eyes.
The more scientific reasoning simply states that it is due to two unhatched babies becoming one while still in their egg.

Now available for the rare tier, the formerly-mythic Odd Pupil eye type! Now known as "Glamour Pupils" they have become a more widely available trait that can be applied to characters. The most popular way to get your hands on this glamourous trait is through rare trait potions and other glamouring means.
Thanks to the efforts of the super popstar, Star Harmony, there are now more types as well for use by the more general public! Visit your local magic salon and ask about Glamour Pupils today!
The trait is not limited to the shapes and styles shown, they are just examples of how it can look! It's also worth noting that browbirds are not naturally born with eyes like these, they are specifically obtained through various magical means!

Mythical Eye Varieties
Ever-glowing eyes present on a standard or hiros browbird are a sign of an excess of powerful magic. The eyes can glow at all times, or it can be an effect only present in darkness, or when they're casting magic. Glow should be the same color, or close in color to the browbird's crest, IE: their magic color. Glowing eyes shouldn't be white unless the browbird's crest is white!
Spiral Eyes are a very striking trait and often times something associated with mind magic. All browbirds with the spiral eye trait should have at least one mind-based magical aspect. When using this aspect their eye will swirl from the ringed state into the true spiral.
Eclipse eyes only come in black and white. They are the only eye type that has a completely black sclera and completely white iris, no other eyes should look this way with these specific tones! The white part is able to glow, and can be a common sight for those with black crests. Consider it the counterpart to the ever-glowing eyes.
Blank eyes will give the impression that one could not see at all, but this is not the case! Despite the lack of a pupil, those with this trait will be able to see perfectly fine. These eyes can optionally glow! They can be any color!
Starblindness is an extremely rare condition that causes the eye to become cloudy with stars and sparkles covering it. The browbird will have minimal or no sight in the eye/eyes afflicted with this trait. Colors and images will be distorted, sometimes causing the browbird to see into the past for future for very brief periods of time.
It is sometimes considered a punishment granted to those who recklessly pushed the limits of magic too far for their body to handle and thus resulted in irreversible magical damage to the eyes. This can be from using more energy than your crest can muster for a long period of time, causing your aura to compensate by looking elsewhere in your body for energy.
On the other hand, there are some who end up inflicting this condition onto themselves in an attempt to achieve starsight and ultimately failed.
Starsight is an incredibly powerful ability that's almost unheard of as a natural occurrence outside of the mysterious Reverie type. However, it is possible for one to obtain starsight through many years of pain staking work, experimentation, magic training, and some times what could be considered self torture. Most of the time these things will ultimately fail and leave the browbird permanently starblind.
Starsight grants a whole new range of abilities to the bearer, allowing them to see things that they could not have hoped to process before. Even this small sliver of the gods' powers allows them to glimpse into alternate futures and pasts, as well as see off into distant planes and worlds. To gain this they do have to sacrifice their present vision. It is both a curse and a blessing in many regards.

Ears
Browbird ears are covered in soft, velvety fur or long light fluff. They give browbirds an excellent sense of hearing and can pivot around to face many different directions, they will often times turn an ear towards whatever sounds they hear.
Ears are a very expressive feature of browbirds, often times helping to convey whatever emotion they might be feeling at the moment. Though for some they simply have ears that permanently droop or stick up, it all depends on the bird!

Ears come in many different shapes and styles, and are certainly not limited to what is shown below. They can also be cropped, pierced, shaped, uneven, injured, and much more! Even things like the look of the ears can add a lot to a character!
The only thing required of ears is that they come to a point or rounded point, similar to any of the types shown.
Note: You do not need to include common ear styles on your masterlist entries, only rare styles need to be included.

3. Hair & Fluff
Hair, Styles, Textures, Ect
Hair has no rarity. A browbird's hair can be any length or style, whether you want it as a cute pixie cut, or so long that it drags the floor (though that can be quite inconvenient). Browbirds as a whole have no specific hair texture or way they like to wear their hair. It's entirely up to you! This means it can be any color as well, you may also have natural streaks, graying, patterns, or dye in the hair. You are allowed to add, or chop off hair on any browbird design you own. Hair can be any length, color, or style.
Hair can be straight, wavy, curly, poofy, thick, thin, or whatever else you'd like! While browbird bodies are almost entirely covered in fur, hair itself tends to only grow on the top of the head, or at the tip of some tails. It will often times be a different texture and color than the browbird's fur, but this is not required!
Browbirds without hair will just have soft floof on the tops of their heads instead.

Fluff and Fur
All browbirds are covered in fur over their entire bodies aside from their feet in most cases. This fur sometimes grows extra long in some places and is extremely soft and smooth and feels much like thick cat fur!
All these are completely optional and can be longer or shorter!
Most of the fluff types no longer have rarity, and you may add and remove it as you please. The style, texture, and length of the fluff is up to you! Here are some areas where fluff can grow in excess and some examples to go along with them!
Fluff should not be so long that it inconveniences the browbird, as they would almost always trim it unless they were living in a very cold place! Feathers instead of fluff is only available to hiros browbirds. Butt fluff depends entirely on the tail, and may have varying rarity based on tail type.
Note: For customs, in some cases choosing more than 4-5 specified fluff areas would count as a rare trait due to the extra rendering involved

★ Head and Neck Fluff ★
★ Chest and Arm Fluff ★
Note: The rare Talonscale trait can be applied to the arms or legs and should not go more than halfway up the arm or cover more than the bottom part of the leg/foot area! Applying it to both spots counts as only one rare trait.
★ Leg and Foot Fluff ★
Note: FLUFF PANTS ARE COMMON/STANDARD! They are FREE to be added to MYOs and existing designs. Like all fur, they do not need to be included on a masterlist entry. They are marked as a rare trait here because they will cost extra when included on a CUSTOM DESIGN due to the extra work involved when rendering.
4. Markings and Colors
Common Markings
★ Nearly all types of markings fall into this category. The image shown is just to display a very small few examples. You are not limited to those shown in the slightest. You are free to mix and match, add or subtract, and so on. Go wild!
You are able to have nearly any combination of markings and colors you desire! You can mix and match markings and gradients, and use as many different common markings you want. There are no color restrictions on the fur and body. (Only the crests and glowing markings have some color restrictions)
You can also give your browbird 'tattoo'-like markings, which are very detailed markings that gave depict images, text, or other things (within reason). They are magically applied to the fur as a glamor.
Note: You do NOT have to include common markings when filling out masterlist registration, you only have to include rare and mythic markings.

Rare Markings
★ Rare markings are specific marking appearances that should look in some way like the examples shown (though placements and exact shape/size/amount can vary), anything that does not fall into these specific markings is considered common.
Browbirds with rare markings that mimic the night sky are usually those with exceptional natural magical potential, or those who were either rewarded or paid a lot of money to have these effects applied as a glamor. Those who are naturally born with these markings are said to be descendants of celestial browbirds, and many of those marked with space markings will have arcane magic as they naturally learn it far quicker than any other aspect.
Rare space markings and rare runic markings can optionally glow, they can glow any bright or light color close in range to the color of the crest to some extent (the hue can be shifted slightly and not all the markings must match, but at least 50% should). This effect can be made constant, or only show up in the dark or when the character uses magic! They are the only non-mythic markings that can glow.
Note: If you choose to make you're space or runic markings glow, they may not glow white unless you have access to the mythic white crest trait or another type of special exception.

Stars || The star marking trait would be the specific star shape shown, and essentially any star shape with 5-8 points would classify here as well. This trait can optionally glow and the exact size, amount, and placement of the stars is up to you! This is by far one of the most popular glamors among the browbird population, so you can't really ever tell who was born with it and who got it later on. But who cares, it looks great on everyone! Stars are often associated with celestial magics, but are not limited to it.
Sparkles || This trait is specifically the sparkle shapes shown that cover the body and trail off, it is not tiny dots/speckle markings. These are actual sparkles, like a permanent body glitter applied to the character! The sparkles are small flecks of excess magical energy, and those born with this trait tend to be overflowing with magical potential so much so that their bodies can't handle it! So it's shredded off in glimmering sparks that eventually fade away, or-- in less appealing terms-- it's basically magic sweat.
Crescent Moon || Refers to the very specific crescent moon shape shown in the examples and any variants that would look very similar. This marking can optionally glow, and can be placed any place on the body with as many or as few as you'd like. A perfect trait for those who are fond of the moon phases, or partial eclipses, it's been recently rising in popularity among the browbird population! For those naturally born with the trait, it's said to represent mystery as well as brilliance and beauty.
Constellations || This marking can optionally glow, and you can have as many or as few constellations as you'd like. They can be real star formations, or completely made up! The lines connecting them can be dashed or solid, and you may choose the shape of the "stars" as well. A trait coveted by many, constellation markings are a very popular and sought after glamour for those who were not naturally born with this elusive trait. It marks one with exceptional magical abilities and is considered quite stunning by the general population, those with this trait will definitely draw attention!
Spiral Eyes || This trait refers to the specific shape of the Spiral Eye and its variants, other types of "eye" markings would not count as spiral eyes. This trait could show up as a single 'eye' or many eyes over the entire body. Don't worry though, they aren't real eyes, just strange markings. The spiral eye represents all mind magic, as well as other more mysterious things...
Rune String* || A string of runes that runs over the body or a small string of runes in a specific area. Can cover 10%-15% of a design. It can connect to itself but should not form a circle. Can be asymmetrical or mirrored on both sides of the body. You can have multiple strings in different areas as long as it does not go over coverage limits. This trait can optionally glow!
You can decide what letters you want on the string, as well as the exact style you'd wish for it to look. Runic strings like this are applied, and are not something a browbird is born with.
*Runic markings cannot be added to a preexisting design through a rare trait potion, but can be added to a MYO that has not yet been created using the potion.
Single Rune* || A single small to medium runic sigil on the body, can be located anywhere you'd like such as the forehead, chest, palm, tongue, back, ect! Up to 7 can be placed with this trait as long as they are clearly separate from each other, and each can be different. This trait can optionally glow!
You can choose the specific symbol, it can be whatever you'd like and you are free to assign meaning to it! Runes like this are always applied and not something a browbird is naturally born with, there can be any number of reasons why someone would have a rune placed on themself! It could be a seal, or something to enhance a specific spell, or perhaps just because they think it looks cool!

Scales || A very rare trait that shows up occasionally in lines with distance Astrean heritage. Shown is the maximum allowed coverage, but this can be allocated to different parts of the body. Scaling should stay outside of talonscale areas, ie: the lower halves of the legs and arms. The scales can be shiny, or closer to more traditional scales. The size and shape of the scales is up to you! If more than 50% of the design is covered with this trait, including the tail, it may not pass.
All rare markings should be shown on the design. If the marking is only present on the back or hidden part of the design, you must provide a separate back reference that includes the trait you are using.

Mythic Markings
tba!!
Glowing Markings ||
Can't be white unless crest is white, must only be bright or light colors to show they give off light!
The color of the glow should match at least one color from the crest.
Should clearly be markings, rather than large flat potions of the body glowing. Example: glowing stripes are fine, an entire glowing leg is not!
Spell Sleeve ||
Covers 50%-100% of an arm, leg, or tail in runes. Can be applied to all limbs without use of extra traits.
Runic Circles ||
Adds runic circles of any size anywhere on the body. These are circles surrounded with runes with magical symbols at their center.
Blood Runes ||
Current being re categorized, requires blood aspect.
Runes that are deeply carved into the characters flesh, and will bleed when they use magic or under certain situations. They give someone great power, but at what cost.

5. Details and Misc
Common Face Details
These traits are optional!
Styles aren't limited to those shown! You are free to tweak them from how they appear in the examples and make them a bit longer/shorter, change the patterns, or add things on!
You can have more than one, so don't think you only have to choose one of these details if you like multiple ones. Common misc traits can always be added on to a preexisting designs freely.

Moth feathers || These feathers mimic a moth's antennae in appearance, but they are simply two feathers that stick up! They are very soft and fluffy.
Whiskers || Stylish, you can have lots or just a few! If your browbird has access to any kind of glowing markings the ends of these whiskers can glow!
Flares are similar to any kind of 'crest' on a bird, such as one seen on a peacock, crowned crane, or cockatiel!! It can take on many shapes and styles. It usually goes over hair on the top of the head, rather than under it. This trait can also be used to add thin face whiskers.
Short face feathers are similar to the moth feathers, only a bit longer and they frame the face. You can have up to six of these on your browbird! They can have different patterns from the ones shown
Sleek Feathers || Super long and thin feathers that often stick out of the brows!
Fangs and tusks are simply over grown teeth! Browbird teeth are naturally very sharp, but they usually don't poke out like this! You can also combine these, so your birb could have fangs and tusks together if you want! As well as just a single fang or tusk poking out.

Uncommon, Rare, and Mythic Face Details
Horn carvings || Something that browbirds obtain when they accomplish something or have a story to tell. The carvings can be any shape or pattern and can be on one horn or both. The carvings can be any color as well, since some will paint or gild their markings. Space markings or carvings on horns is still considered a rare trait and if horn carvings glow it is considered a mythic trait. (Unless the glowing marks are space markings!)
Those with exceptionally long horns covered in many different carved patterns are considered to be old, powerful, accomplished heroes as well as very wise and respectable. These designs stay on the horns, and can tell the stories of this browbird after they have passed on. The carvings are very important and central to the culture of browbirds and many aspire to gain some in their life.
If one has a broken horn with carvings it is considered a great dishonor and shows that the bearer had done something worth losing their accomplishments, often terrible crimes are the cause but there can be other scenarios. In great battles the winner will often break off the carved horn of the loser, as a way to strip them of their titles, and will keep the horn for themselves. Warriors with a large collection of carved horns are thought to be the most deadly.
Dragon Feathers, Saxony Feathers & King Feathers|| can grow in pairs from the brows, the base of the ears, or other places on the head, the neck, the booty, or wherever else! Rosethorn || A trait characterized by small spines that cover the horns, it can be placed on one horn or both and you can have as many as you'd like covering the horn. Though the thorns should always remain close in size to what's shown. It can affect any horn style! It is considered to be a minor horn mutation that occurs in a small number of the population that causes abnormal horn growth. Those with this trait are often thought of as more dangerous than your average browbird.
The Megabrows || Very long, luxurious brows that always flow in the wind and make anyone look totally awesome. Other browbirds might consider those with brows like these to be very beautiful and wise. Who wouldn't want MEGABROWS. They can be much longer than what's shown.
Aura Breath || This trait should be shown on the reference to count! All browbirds possess a magical aura, but very few have auras that are consistently visible. This specific form of a visible aura shows in the form of the browbird's breath. It always matches the crest color and appears when they breathe out. It can appear similar to breath on a cold winter day, or more like thick magical smoke. Some forms of this trait have additional effects!
Runic Brand || This trait should be shown on the reference to count! A floating rune positioned in front of the forehead, or somewhere else on the body. It always matches the crest color and is in the shape of some sort of rune. It's completely separate from the crest. These marks are granted to those who have accomplished impressive magical tasks or those of high status, making it extremely common for ancients to have these floating brands. They are usually only applied by skilled rune forgers. They can appear and disappear based on the will or magic of the browbird.

Feet Variants
Browbird feet are commonly soft and somewhat rounded with a rougher underside. They are very flexible and have a strong grip naturally, as well as good traction for running over various terrains. They often will have retractable claws, but their claws can also be permanently stuck out. It often will depend on the origin of their heritage. The claws themselves can be any color you'd like and can be flat, shiny, ect. Both retractable and perma-claws are equally common and do not need to be included when submitting a design to the masterlist, only a rare trait would need to be written for this category.
Note: While this is the 'canon' way the feet look, you may still stylize them as you wish!

Webbed Feet || Are a rare trait that only shows up on a very small number of the population, it's a trait that stems from a small group of browbird's that have lived next to the ocean for many generations and often is a sign of distant Astrean heritage. They aren't as useful for gripping as regular browbird feet, but they do offer a great advantage when it comes to swimming. They can have both perma-claws and retractable claws.
Raptor feet || are rougher and offer sharper claws and quicker feet than regular birb feet. They are more suited to those who prefer to live in the more dangerous, wild places. They aren't seen often, and only pop up in small groups of browbirds. It is said that those with these odd feet are closer to the distant browbird ancestors.
Talonscale || This trait is characterized by rough scales that run up the feet or arms, they can be shiny or matte. The rare Talonscale trait can be applied to the arms or legs and should not go more than halfway up the arm or the entire foot area! Applying it to both spots counts as only one rare trait so you can have both areas at once.
